WE REMEMBER FLOYD
Floyd came to his second and final home with the Weitzners in 2004 when he was about a year old. As any Boxer owner knows, they are a very energetic breed and he was no exception.
His first morning in the household, Dr. Bruce's daughter walked into the kitchen to find him on the counter all 4, eating food. Shocked, she yelled, "Who are you? And why are you on the countertop! . . . . Dad!!!!"
From that point on, Floyd got into the Weitzner family routine. That is all dogs go to work with Dr. Bruce each day, either at County Line or Heritage Vet. Therefore his second family immediately got bigger.
Caring for him and his housemate Duncan, a Golden Retriever were the hospital's medical support staff; animal caretakers, assistants, technicians and receptionists.
And boy did we care for him. Having his food ready before his arrival, walking him many times a day, getting blankets out for him to lay on and always offering a lap for him to climb up on.
He loved playing with Duncan, checking on all the animals in the hospital and playing with the dogs during playtime. Sharing lunch with Dad was highlight of the day, the last bite of the meal was always split between Floyd & Duncan, going over to the blanket rack and pulling out one to lay on and getting lots and lots of treats from all his friends. Not only from the staff members, but clients that would request to see him.
Floyd crossed over The Rainbow Bridge suddenly on November 15th 2011. We are all shocked, extremely saddened and miss the boy dearly, also known as "Smushy", "Brown Dog" and "Floydrick".
We Remember Michaela
We Remember Brick
Brick was born with us in 2008. Unfortunately, Brick
left us in May, 2011, after going to every length to save him. He was a
fighter to the end. We will miss you Brick, and so will your piggie
family.
Our thanks to Lauren Kipphut & Joe Arleth for sharing this memorial tribute.
We Remember Storm
Storm suddenly left us on January 3, 2010. We adopted her in 2007 from a Guinea Pig Rescue and were so thankful that we were able to have her with us. She will be very missed by us and her brothers and sisters. Thanks to all at County Line for her care and their concern.
THAT'S WHY IT IS CALLED THE PRESENT.
Our thanks to Lauren Kipphut & Joe Arleth for this memorial tribute.
We Remember Berry
Berry came to us in May of 2007. Unfortunately, she was sick from birth and had a very short life, but we loved her very much. Thanks to the staff at County Line who helped us take the best care of one of our first pets.
We Remember Mia "Mia was 16 years old when she needed to cross to the rainbow bridge in March of 2007. She was originally found as a stray in San Diego and we adopted her at 1 year of age. She had a wonderful, long life that started as an "only" dog to one of 3 dogs, and several cats then adding in 2 human kids! She took it all in stride, never losing her affectionate personality. She is still very much missed by our family and will always live in our hearts." Our thanks to Staci for this memorial tribute
We Remember Brandi
This is in loving memory of our "Brandi Girl". She loved to lay in the middle of the living room in our house where the sunshine always came in and also lay underfoot while we were on the computer. Brandi's favorite "people food treats" were Pizza Crust, Carrots, Tator Tots & Cheerios!! As we don't have any children, she was our "baby". We had her for 16 1/2 wonderful years and she was loved and spoiled every second of it!
Thanks to everyone at County Line Veterinary Hospital for taking such great care of her over the last 5 years.
Brandi Ostach - 4/29/91 - 2/23/08
Our thanks to Eileen Ostach for this Memorial Tribute to Brandi
We Remember Sammie
Sammie became my son because no one else wanted him…he only had one ear, but he grew up to be a handsome man. I took him home when he was 6 weeks old and he became my constant companion. Sammie was so lovable, he would sit on the top of the couch or pillows propped up in bed and have his body across my shoulders and his head on my shoulder. His smile lit up my life. When his sister, Sadie, showed up six months after him, he immediately embraced her. The two of them played constantly. Watching the two of them play put a smile on my face. Then Sammie got sick and he didn’t have the energy to play. She couldn’t understand why he didn’t want to play anymore. His health started to improve and things were looking good, but all of a sudden Sammie was going down hill…and when he no longer would smile at me, I knew it was time to let him go.
Sadie and I miss him so, but we know he is playing with his brothers that went before him.
In Memory of Sammie Warner September 14, 1998 - November 14, 2006
We Remember Zoe
"This is in memory of "Zoe" Welsh. Zoe was loved very much by Staci. Zoe was found abandoned as a 5 week old puppy by a client at her previous Veterinary Hospital that she used to work at in San Diego. Since Staci's husband was in the Navy and out to sea for six months, she decided to take on the challenge of this adorable husky/lab mix puppy! And boy was she a challenging puppy! Zoe grew up in San Diego were she would run on the beach and swim (body surf) for hours at "Dog Beach." She was very protective of her tennis ball and "tolerated" our other animals but was thrilled when human kids entered the picture because that meant lots of dropped food that she could "help" me clean up. She had a heart of gold and really lived for belly rubs and treats. She adored our children and would "talk" to us when she was happy. She passed away in March of 2006 at age 14 but there isn't a day that goes by that we don't think of her."
Our thanks to Staci for Zoe's memorial.
We Remember Sara
Sara loved being visited by just about anyone and loved children. The doorbell would ring and she'd get all excited, as excited as a lazy English Bulldog can get! Due to her health problems, she spent a lot of time at County Line Veterinary Hospital. Sara considered County Line her second home and loved the attention and love the doctors and the staff poured out to her. She loved to go for rides in the car and didn't care where she would end up. She was just excited to be out of the house! Sara is missed very much by her Mom and Dad. Not a day goes by that we don't think about her with love and affection. We are happy she is no longer suffering. Sara, may you rest in peace in doggie heaven!
Sara Crescenzo - January 17, 1999 to September 8, 2006 Our thanks to Marie Crescenzo for Sara's Memorial Tribute
We Remember Hollie This is in memory of our Hollie who passed last Friday, April 14th. She had suddenly taken ill and the doctors saw a shadow on her heart indicating a possible cancer. We could not bear to see our baby suffer through surgery and recovery again, so we had to make that one final gesture of love and let her go.
Hollie Garwood…September 1, 1993 to April 14, 2006
We Remember Inky
At only 3 months old, "Inky" was found abandoned in a ditch in Pemberton. She was a border collie/husky mix who was always friendly and just adored the staff at County Line Vets. Inky was diabetic and had Cushing's disease, but she was calm and happy through all her medical treatment. Inky crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 15 years old. She is missed every day by her Mom, Corinne, and by the rest of her family, which includes a cat named "Puzzer" (who was her shadow) and a dog named "Sarge". There has never been such a happy and gentle dog as Inky!
Inky crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on September 12, 2005
